60th Anniversary

In 1958, Abbas Eban sat down with Mike Wallace on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Israel.

This interview is insightful, historical, and moving.....it stands the test of time.

If you would like to see the perspective on the "issues" facing Israel on it's 10th year of existence, YOU MIGHT BE SHOCKED TO SEE THAT MANY (IF NOT ALL) OF THE CHALLENGES REMAIN THE SAME.

The overiding issue/challenge, similar to 50 years ago -- is that Israel is still alive and flourishing 50 years later....(after this interview)....Israel still EXISTS.

(keep in mind, after you watch this interview that 2 major wars 67-73 -were inflicted against Israel, and thousands of terrorist attacks)

Here is the interview...love to hear your thoughts on the historical perspective in the comments below.

Hi Andy,

Thanks for providing us with this interesting video from 50 years ago. I know it's besides the point, but as a publicist working with clients in the online advertising space, I found the ad for Parliament Cigarettes in the first 2 minutes somewhat shocking. That has changed in the last 50 years.

You should come over to Tel Aviv if you haven't been here lately -- interesting things happening here in social networking and marketing.

Thanks again,
Uriah
